The Hunt for the Perfect Benny

Obsessed with finding the perfect Hollandaise to go with the perfect Eggs Benedict, I will travel near and far (in Minnesota mostly) hunting and writing about the best and worst Benny's I encounter.

Stabby’s, Minneapolis.
I had planned on going to Hot Plate this a.m. to try their Benny but they’re hours were posted wrong on their website. I happen to be driving by Stabby’s and decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did. They call this the Eggs Benedictine. They mix a cajun spice into the Hollandaise which gives it a very subtle bite. The sauce was wonderfully buttery and just the right consistency. I liked that they fried the canadian bacon a little crispy. The only negative is that I found the ham was too thin - even though they used three slices. I would definitely order this again. Excellent dish. My favorite so far.Add a captionStabby’s, Minneapolis. I had planned on going to Hot Plate this a.m. to try their Benny but they’re hours were posted wrong on their website.
